bothof these pictures are from the tour we did in arangubad. first is when we where rampaged by some school kids wnting a photo with me, im smiling but i was being pushed and tugged and a bit beweilded at the end of it. the second is us in the ellora buddhist caves. if you have an indian lonley planet, this is the statue in one of the pictures in there. big huh?

Sorry to not have been in touch much lately or having updated the blog. Unfortunately the internet in India is pretty bad and we are currently in a town where only dial up speed is available.
So's that you can get a gist of what we have been up to since the last blog here's a short synopsis:
Got to Mumbai, stayed with friends who are popstars, eat well drank expensively, smoked with a bollywood tv star at his house (boyfriend of my friend). Bus to Aurangabad, no sleep too cold. Ripped off by hotel, saw old caves (amazingly big Buddha carved from stone), mini Taj Mahal. Town a bit of a shithole, but nice "KFC"(indian stylee)!!! Bus to Goa, no sleep too cold, bloody A/C. Then 2 local buses to Palolem, Goa trance played through big sound system....on the bus. Get to Palolem, don't leave for 2 weeks, too easy, ah!!!!!!!! Met group of others went for scooter ride, decided to travel for a couple pf weeks with 5 others. Went to Gokarna, nice looking guesthouse, shit chanelled into sea, nice. Left soon, and CD with 500 photos in disc drive, doh. Train, Bus, Walk, Rickshaw to Hampi, flinstone country, bouldered landscape beautiful ruins of old city. Went on cycle ride to temple on hill (Monkey Temple). Fed monkeys had chats with Sadu (monk), they give Emily bracelet and us both contact of docu director in Singapore. Chilled out some more in beautiful lanscape. Rickshaw, Train, Walk, Rickshaw to Bangalore, nothing there, no trooms at the in, had Maccy D's, sodded off. Train to Mysore, shithole but had a drunken laugh with everyone. Split from others, caught bus back toward Goa, but via Gokarna again, got CD back, sweet!. Rickshaw, Train, then 2 hoyur rickshaw drive to North Goa in Town called Arambol. Chilled here, otheer met us again, all living together in same block. Went to city yesterday on Scooter bought xmas decs and tree!! We're all having Xmas together with secret santa, 6 bottles of drink already bought, party on the beach on Xmas Eve all night. Going to party in the forest for NYs.
Unfortunately soem of you may already know but both my Grandma and Emily's (Dave's) Grandad died in the last week. We dedicate this Xmas to their memory and we will be toasting them on Xmas day. To Bert and Marge!
Missing you all and sending our love while we sit in the 90 degree heat drinking ice cold 40p beers.....hope its raining!!!!

So we arrived in Mumbai. A long time family friend invited us to stay at hers and her friends. Both called Nicky they are pop stars in India and doing pretty well. have 2 songs in the charts and 2 well produced videos.

They showed us the places to go in town, taking us to a great restaurant and bar (expensive at that...5 quid for a Glen Morangie!!!!!).

Nicky (my friend) is going out with a bollywood TV star. Really nice down to earth guy who invited us to his one night to watch a movie and have dinner.

Mumbai is a great place and very cosmopolitan compared to the rest of India. Apart from going to the usual tourist/backpackers sites we also visited a plush salon and had a head massage....very relaxing. Em also got her legs waxed for the 1st time ever and ended up brazillian style!!!! She'll hate me for saying that but she's not here at the mo.

Our stay in Mumbai was made better by the fact they showed us where to go and we thanks them loads.
