Big Day Out.....or Bjork Day! YAY!

New Home...Old Home

The pictures below are of Isabella's makeover. The exterior artwork was designed and painted by yours truly. I had so much fun doing it, and it was a first, I think, at having such a large canvas to work with.
The others are of our current home. It was an upgrade compared to what we where living with. Very strange emotion to be happy about having your own toilet at last!

New Year In New Zealand

Again like last years Xmas, NY had something to beat. Well it had been 2.5 years since we had been to a proper festival so we were realling looking forward to the Canaan Downs Festival this year.
It is a really 'Hippy@ festival, lots of trance and bongos round the fire. Alcohol was not allowed to be brought in neither was it for sale. What!!! Do I hear you say? Well no worries everyone got it in despite the vans being searched. Great point to the festival was the fact that we could drive our camper into the campsite and stay in that. Which meant for us not tent to set up, a fridge for food and drink to stay cold and somewhere to go in the early hours of the morning when it gets very cold. Another bonus for us ws that we had ice for the Gin and Tonic!!! In fact we had absolutely everything we own here with us, so no worries about forgetting anything.
The area the festival was held in was ....... meters above sea level on a sort of plateau in the mountains. The whole area was dotted with holes, some small some huge. I mean they were grass covered bowl like holes for the most part apparently caused by the ground collapsing within itself some years earlier. A couple of big ones in the main arena area were used 1 for a large bonfire to sit round and the other for dancing.
