Hobos In The Capital

On the outskirts of Wellington we visited a national park which is technically a rainforest. We went for a lovely walk here across rope bridges and through dense forest. The park was the setting of the Elven city of Rivendell in Lord of the Rings so you can appreciate how beautiful it was.

Wellington Was a nice place but that’s about all I can say. Yes it’s a city, well done. Um……um…..um…. We went to the cinema……..and a museum…..Wicked. Apart from that we slept on the streets in the van, washing ourselves in the morning in the public toilets. Bit of a problem as it was only free overnight, so the van had a few “unofficial” sites. Perhaps I should write a book titled “how to wash your hair in a shallow metal basin”

From here we caught the boat over to the South Island.
