Further adventures…

We have settled in our new home at the Lakeview Holidays Park, Wanaka, north of Queenstown. Is has been some time since we first set off from Auckland and we have seen so much of NZ already yet still there is so much to see. Here we go back 2 months in time see how our journey has been so far…..

Auckland to Raglan

The first leg of the journey takes us as you already know to a place called Raglan. A surfing mecca yet a small and quaint town. It is here that we got engaged and so is special to us. Perhaps the wrong tie of year being that it was hardly swimming weather and the wind nearly forced us off the road and onto our sides at the campervan park in town.

When leaving town we took the “scenic route” by which the scenes were great around the cliffed coastline but the road was treacherous. We came to beautiful, black sanded, desolate beach. It was way to cold to swim, besides the waves were far to big and fierce to go into.
